About
Kal-El, legally named Clark Joseph Kent, is the last son of the House of El and the only son of scientists Jor-El and Lara Lor-Van, who, after fleeing from the destruction of the planet Krypton as an infant and arriving on Earth, was discovered and subsequently adopted by a couple of farmers, Jonathan and Martha Kent, raised in the small rural farming town of Smallville, Kansas.
After discovering his Kryptonian heritage, he decided to use his array of superhuman powers to fight crime and protect the people of the city of Metropolis as the world's most powerful superhero known as Superman. As a hero, Superman faced many enemies such as the cybernetic mercenary Metallo, as he formed alliances with fellow superheroes such as the local LordTech sponsored superhero team the Justice Gang while working at the Daily Planet in his civilian life, where he befriended his co-worker Jimmy Olsen and fell in love with reporter Lois Lane, who soon became aware of his alter ego.
Three years after his public debut, Superman halted a United States-backed invasion of Jarhanpur by Boravia, drawing scrutiny of billionaire and Superman's arch-enemy Lex Luthor, who secretly deployed a powerful clone called the Hammer of Boravia. After being nearly killed in battle and rescued by Krypto the Superdog, Superman recovered in the Fortress of Solitude, only for Luthor and the Engineer to invade, abduct Krypto, and manipulate the public into believing Superman arrived to Earth to conquer it. As public trust collapsed, Superman surrendered to the government and was imprisoned by Luthor in a collapsing pocket dimension, where he was reunited with Krypto and freed by fellow prisoner Metamorpho. Rescued by Lois Lane and Mister Terrific, Superman escaped as a black hole opened above Metropolis. While Green Lantern, Hawkgirl, and Metamorpho repelled a second Boravian invasion, Superman battled Ultraman and hurled him into the black hole and stopped Luthor by publicly exposing his elaborate conspiracy with the help of his colleagues and having him arrested and sent to Belle Reve Correctional Center, before he returned to the Fortress to heal and rebuild, where his intoxicated cousin Kara Zor-El arrived unannounced to retrieve Krypto and thanked him for dog sitting, relaxing contently by watching home movies of his happy childhood spent with his adoptive parents.

Powers & Abilities
Kryptonian Physiology: As a Kryptonian at his physical peak, Superman possesses many extraordinary powers exceeding those of humans and even most metahumans when exposed to the nourishing radiant energy of Earth's yellow sun, ranking highly amongst the most powerful beings on Earth, far beyond the abilities of even most metahumans.
Solar Energy Absorption: Superman's cells function as living solar batteries, allowing him to absorb, metabolize, and store the radiation of a yellow sun, which enables his paranormal abilities.
Superhuman Strength: Superman possesses vast levels of physical strength, being capable of lifting, moving, or exerting a tremendous amount of force, such as knocking out armored Raptors soldiers with a single punch, sending one flying hard enough to knock the man's teeth out, and staggering colossal threats like the Kaiju creature with a fierce uppercut. He was also able to save a dog by holding up the foot of the Kaiju creature, which weighs 10,397,576 lbs, though he was briefly overwhelmed and forced into the ground. After it was killed, he stopped its corpse from falling on a crowd of people. His strength is immense enough that few beings on Earth are able to physically challenge him, with rare exceptions including Metallo and Ultraman, who possessed similar capabilities. However, he also possesses enough control over his strength to avoid causing unwanted damage, allowing him to land blows on significantly weaker beings than himself without injuring or killing them, such as when he shoulder-checked Lex Luthor a few yards. In addition, Superman does have limits to his capabilities, as he isn't strong enough to destroy planets.
Nigh-Invulnerability: Superman's body possesses a dense-molecular structure, which, in conjunction with a supercharged electromagnetic field, bestowing levels of durability and endurance that render him able to withstand virtually any conventional form of harm and survive the conditions of most environments, such as the frigid cold of the Arctic. He is also unaffected by flying in the vacuum of space, being able to hold his breath for over an hour, and is also immune to Earthly diseases and drugs. It is also capable of surviving inside a black hole without being crushed by its gravity. However, his invulnerability is not without limit, as the radiation emitted from Kryptonite, magic, exposure to the radiation produced by a red sun, and getting struck with extreme force by opponents who possess similar or greater strength to his, such as fellow Kryptonians and immensely powerful metahumans, can overcome his durability and risk injury or death.
Superhuman Speed: Superman is capable of moving and flying at speeds faster than the speed of sound, and can move faster than eye can follow, appearing as a blur of motion at higher speeds, and able to cross great distances in an instant supersonic speeds. He was able to save a child from falling debris, moving so quickly the surrounding motion appeared frozen. Superman was able to divert a colossal Kaiju creature unleashed on Metropolis by circling around it at imperceivable speeds, taunting it with fast, controlled passes until it followed him away from civilians.
Superhuman Reflexes: Superman's speed extends to his reflexes as well, as he managed to catch a punch from the Kryptonian clone Ultraman while being pinned by him and Engineer, and later easily caught a baby from falling into a black hole.
Superhuman Agility: Superman is able to jump tremendous heights and lengths off the ground from a stationary position without having to fly. To which, he will usually he jump upwards before shooting skyward with his flight. With his speed and flight, Superman is very agile being able to dodge, maneuver and even move around his foes, building, or obstacles.
Superhuman Stamina: Superman almost never seems to grow tired if he is continuously powered by the yellow sun of Earth. He can survive flying into outer space and diving underwater. He intensely battled with Engineer, Metallo, and even Ultraman, without ever needing to slow down and catch his breath. While he was severely weakened from hours of exposure to Kryptonite, Superman was able to recover almost instantly from a miniature yellow sun created by Metamorpho and rescue Krypto.
Accelerated Healing: Superman is capable of healing at superhuman speeds, especially in direct sunlight, in the rare instances he is injured. Hence, he was able to quickly recover from the injuries from battling the Hammer of Boravia, once exposed to sunlight.
Superhuman Hearing: Superman is able to hear at extreme variances of sound and pitch frequency, allowing him to pick up numerous sounds, including both infrasound and ultrasound, from immense distances. Honing his senses, he has enough control to block out ambient sounds to focus on a specific source or frequency.
Superhuman Smell: Superman has an incredibly acute olfactory sense. With it, he can notice and distinguish distinct odors and scents, even from great distances. He can track a target by the smell, recognize someone as nervous by smelling adrenaline increase, even determine the chemicals on a person as seen when he smelled alcohol on Supergirl.
Superhuman Vision: Superman possesses superhuman eyesight that encompasses a variety of sensory capabilities including telescopic, infrared, ultraviolet, X-ray, and gamma-ray visual capabilities that allow him to see the entire electromagnetic spectrum when he desires, through mental focus.
Telescopic Vision: Superman has the ability to focus his vision to see past great distances, mentally zooming in. Hence, he was able to see incoming space debris from the upper atmosphere, and later saw Lois Lane within a falling escape capsule over Metropolis.
Microscopic Vision: Superman can see extremely small objects, even beyond the subatomic level.
Infrared Vision: Superman is able to see the heat signatures given off by individuals. He used this ability to detect the bodies of the two scientists trapped on the 14th floor during the S.T.A.R. Labs explosion, when they were buried under debris.
X-Ray Vision: Superman can focus his vision past layers of matter to see through them. He was able to see clearly through multiple floors of S.T.A.R. Labs during the explosion, identifying the trapped scientists and their service dog beneath rubble and fire. He simultaneously scanned for structural weaknesses and safe entry points while en route. The only known material impenetrable to his X-ray vision is lead.
Heat Vision: Superman, like all Kryptonians, can project bright red energy beams from his eyes. With his control, he can regulate their capacities for various feats. The heat can go between melting seamlessly through solid stone and wielded metal, or simple manual labor like heating up food. They can focus to produce explosions or bounce off reflective surfaces. The intensity can also become massive to instead cause concussive force that repels and damages targets of high durability, such as Ultraman, or narrow for pinpoint accuracy.
Advanced Longevity: Superman, like all Kryptonians exposed to a yellow sun, stops aging upon reaching physical maturity and remains in peak condition as long as he stays under a yellow sun.
Superhuman Breath: Superman is able to draw in large amounts of air and then expel it all to create gale and hurricane force winds to extinguish fires. He can also chill his breath to freeze targets. His lungs can also go for remarkably long periods of time without needing air. The force of his breath, combined with his flight, allows him to escape objects of strong gravitational pull, including that of a black hole.
Flight: Superman is able fly and levitate by manipulating his own gravitational field, taking advantage of Earth's weaker gravity to propel himself through the skies and even beyond the planet's atmosphere. Upon mastering this technique, Superman can fly at hypersonic speeds that allow him to circle the globe in moments. Further practice with this power has allowed him to extend it to others, most notably Lois Lane, so that they don't experience the negative effects of traveling at high speeds.
Gifted Intellect: Superman is exceptionally intelligent, as with other Kryptonians, which he uses constantly in both his crimefighting career and his career as a reporter. He was able to tell that Ultraman was faking a Boravian accent while he was pretending to be the Hammer of Boravia.
Skilled Reporter: Clark Kent, working as a reporter for the Daily Planet, is an exceptionally skilled investigative reporter, displaying remarkable insight, investigative and writing skills, writing several articles on his own. After three years of working at the Planet, Clark gained a reputation for being the only reporter who could get an interview with Superman, to the point that his articles were printed on the front page of the paper.
Expert Combatant: Superman is a capable and adaptive combatant, utilizing his varied array of powers and abilities through his immense power, speed, aerial mobility, and tactical instincts into a fighting style built around overwhelming force, pinpoint precision, and quick adaptability, despite lacking any formal combat experience, combining his diverse powerset with his sharp intelligence and usually proving more than a match for most opponents, such as fighting and eventually defeating Metallo despite the latter's cybernetically boosted strength and Kryptonite powered heart, albeit necessitating considerable effort and requiring the assistance of the Justice Gang to neutralize the villain. Superman is seen to have stopped the war invasion in Boravia, taking down Raptors with a fluid strikes and dodges such as using environmental tools, and clashing against his clone, Ultraman, with only the strongest and most skillful of opponents being able to rival or outclass him, as his style is direct, power-based, but sharpened with battlefield awareness and superhuman timing. Superman is capable of matching and eventually overpowering Ultraman, and withstanding and countering the Engineer's advanced tech-based attacks. Superman is noted to have never lost a fight prior to fighting Ultraman while he was disguised as the Hammer of Boravia.
